Baton Rouge General Announces Board of Trustees Members and Leadership Positions

Baton Rouge, La. – Baton Rouge General recently announced new leadership positions for its Board of Trustees, including Janice Pellar, who has been named Chair. She is former owner and CEO of EMCO Technologies, and is a longtime patron of the arts, healthcare, local business and Louisiana State University. Pellar has served on the hospital board since 2010, and served on the Baton Rouge General Foundation Board of Governors for nine years.

Joseph E. Juban has been named Vice Chair and Strategic Planning Chair. Juban is of counsel with the Long Law Firm and has been a board member since 2012. He also served on the Baton Rouge General Foundation Board of Governors for seven years.

Debra Lockwood has been named Finance Chair. She is the President and Chief Financial Officer at Provident Resources Group Inc., and previously served on the National Board of the American Heart Association.

Venkat Banda, MD, has been named Quality and Safety Chair. He is an internal medicine physician with Hospital Medicine Group and Program Director of the Baton Rouge General Internal Medicine Residency program.

Leslie Herpin Marx has been named Secretary. She has been a board member since 2008, and served on the Baton Rouge General Foundation Board of Governors for nine years. She is an interior designer with Washer Hill Lipscomb Cabaniss (WHLC) Architecture.
