Hospital Volunteers Recognized at Appreciation Luncheon

Baton Rouge General Hosts Annual Event in Honor of National Volunteer Week

Baton Rouge, La. – It’s National Volunteer Week and in recognition of the more than 400 volunteers who selflessly share their time and energy to support our patients, families and community, Baton Rouge General hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, April 16, at the Oak Lodge Reception Center. The Baton Rouge General Volunteer Auxiliary was chartered in 1953, and last year, hospital volunteers have generously provided a total of 24,000 service hours in nearly 30 departments across the hospital’s Mid City and Bluebonnet campuses, including Surgery Waiting Room, Gift Shop, Information Desks, Outpatient Infusion, Inpatient and Pediatric Rehab.
