2016's Most Popular Baby Names in Baton Rouge

William and Emma beat out Aiden and Ava at Baton Rouge General’s Birth Center

Baton Rouge, LA – Unique is the name of the game – and the baby – in 2016.

The majority of babies born at Baton Rouge General’s Birth Center this year do not share a name with any other newborn born at the hospital in 2016. In fact, only about 25 percent were given the same name as others born at BRG this year, down from 30 percent in 2015.

Even though unique names are becoming more popular, there are still a few clear favorites for new parents. BRG’s top five most popular girl and boy names of 2016 are:

Boy Girl
William Emma
Alexander Ava
Kaden Kinsley (all variations)
John Adelyn
Josiah Riley
Boy Girl
Aiden Ava
Jordan Hailey
Jacob Abigail
Alexander Amelia
