Baton Rouge, La. – With icy roads limiting travel, some Baton Rouge General (BRG)
services will be opening late today.
Both hospital campuses remain open, including the Emergency Room, the Corner
Pharmacy and the Louisiana Internal Medicine Associates clinic at the
Bluebonnet hospital.
BRG Express Care, located on the Bluebonnet campus, will operate normally
from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. today. Express Care provides treatment for
common illnesses and minor injuries that are not life-threatening, like
flu, sinus infections, cuts and scrapes.
Current delays:
- Dutchtown Urgent Care will open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 8 p.m.
The following services are closed until staff members can travel safely to work:
- All Baton Rouge General Physician clinics
- Behavioral Wellness Center
- Advanced Wound Center & Hyperbarics Centers
- Outpatient Imaging & Radiology Centers (O’Neal, Dijon and Mid City)
- Radiation Oncology Center
All locations are expected to resume normal operating hours on Thursday, Jan. 18.
