BRG Express Care is now open 7 days a week and treats serious, but non-life
threatening illnesses and injuries, including sprains, minor cuts and
burns, allergic reactions, sinus infections, earaches and fever. The clinic

“When you’re sick, you want care that is fast, convenient and
affordable. And you want it delivered with compassion,” said Edgardo
Tenreiro, President and CEO of Baton Rouge General. “Our Express

The clinic was designed to optimize the patient experience, from providers
exclusively using iPads with patients to creating a paperless environment,
which means no more long paperwork to fill out. While the clinic is designed
for walk-in patients, it also offers
online scheduling for patients who may have a limited window of time to visit. In addition,
convenient digital kiosks allow for a quick check-in and even a quick
scan of a patient’s insurance card. TV screens in each patient room
give clinic staff the opportunity to view information such as x-rays with
the patient. A new, modern look, free Wi-Fi and a coffee bar add to the
convenient and welcoming feel of the clinic.
The Highland Village location joins two others – BRG Express Care
at Bluebonnet and Dutchtown Express Care. A fourth BRG Express Care is
set to open at Nicholson Gateway in the spring.
