    Healthy-Steps Classes
    This unique exercise and group therapy program provides a fun, supportive and healthy environment for breast cancer patients and survivors. Baton Rouge General's certified Healthy-Steps, "Moving You To Better Health With the Lebed Method," instructors will help you physically and mentally heal through dance and movement.

    Lymphedema Support Group
    If you suffer from Lymphedema, a lymphatic disorder that sometimes occurs in breast cancer survivors, you may very well find some of your best friends here in this free support group. At the very least, you'll gain cheerleaders who will help you through difficult times. We invite you to join us for lunch and discussions facilitated by Certified Lymphedema Therapists, Medical Social Workers, and Registered Dietitians.

    Healing Through Movement & Dance
    Warming up by blowing bubbles to the sounds of "My Boyfriend's Back" isn't what you might typically expect of an exercise class, but that's exactly what you'd be doing at the General's Lebed program.

    "When people have lymphedema, their lymphatic system is kind of closed up and not working like it needs to," explains Chris Perkins, one of the General's certified Lebed instructors. "What makes the Lebed method so unique is that it's a combination of dancing, stretching, deep breathing, and fun!"
