Baton Rouge General's Father-Daughter Dance Breaks Attendance Record

Nine-day old baby the youngest attendee

Baton Rouge, LA – Baton Rouge General Foundation’s 23rd annual Father/Daughter Sweetheart Dance entertained a record-breaking crowd of more than 1,600 people this Sunday at the River Center.

Attendees included fathers, grandfathers, daughters and granddaughters all of ages, including nine-day old Charlie Marie Watts (pictured below, with parents Taylor Kleinpeter Watts and Austin Watts and grandfather Troy Kleinpeter).

Proceeds from the event support Baton Rouge General and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients and families served by the community hospital. In 2015, the funds raised through this event provided support to the General’s Regional Burn Center.

Raphael Crawford and his daughter Nathalie (pictured below) traveled from Germany to attend the dance, “When we lived in Baton Rouge, we attended the dance several times and had a great time. I love spending time with my daughter while supporting a great cause. Even though we've now moved to Germany, we didn't want to lose this tradition. We have too much fun together every year."
