CPR Training
Baton Rouge General (BRG), a Training Center (TC) aligned with the American Heart Association (AHA), offers CPR certifications, skills sessions and recertifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and provides training and certification for CPR instructors.
CPR Certification Courses
Basic Life Support & Skills Session
$85 Total - Includes $60 Certification & $25 Skills Session
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Once the initial training is complete, a skills session is required to be awarded a BLS Provider Course Completion Card.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support & Skills Session
$320 - Includes $245 Certification & $75 Skills Session
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care, airway management and related pharmacology.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support & Skills Session
$300 - Includes $225 Certification & $75 Skills Session
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.

CPR Live Instructor Training
Prices Vary by Course
Live Instructor Training prepares professionals to conduct training in CPR and/or advanced cardiovascular care. Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through Atlas, the AHA platform for instructors. You will also be able to post class dates and times to reach more students through the AHA public website.
