Bringing Home The Baby
Have Your Car Seat Ready
When it’s time to go home, Louisiana law requires that children are
safely buckled in a proper car seat.
Louisiana State Police, Troop A, conducts Child Seat Safety Inspections
every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Appointments encouraged (click here to schedule), but walk-ins are welcome.

Baton Rouge General offers a wide array of services for women, particularly
women who are post-partum. For many women, restrengthening the pelvic
floor after many months of carrying a baby is of utmost importance to
getting back to a normal life. Our
Pelvic Health services team can help you achieve that.
A pediatrician, or doctor that specializes in children’s healthcare,
must be chosen prior to delivering your baby. Your pediatrician, or someone
from their physician practice, will visit your baby while you are in the hospital.

We also offer rehabilitation services for the smallest of patients. Our
pediatric rehabilitation program includes outpatient services like physical therapy, occupational
therapy and speech therapy. We even offer
infant massage to help you bond with and calm your baby.
