Our birth center is backed by the extensive resources of our full service hospital, including adult and pediatric subspecialists like maternal-fetal medicine doctors and neonatologists.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Most babies are born healthy and full term. In the event a newborn requires intensive care services, parents can rest assured their little one will be well taken care of in our Certified Level 3 Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Services include:

  • 24-hour in-house presence of advanced practice neonatal nurse practitioners
  • Access to numerous pediatric sub-specialties including:
    • Physical therapists
    • Occupational therapists
    • Speech therapists
  • Generous visitation hours for parents and siblings
  • Full parental involvement in baby’s treatment and progress
  • Parents are given the opportunity to room-in prior to bringing baby home

Adult Intensive Care

In the rare circumstance a mother needs a higher level of care, our comprehensive adult intensive care unit is available and supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
