Cardiac Cath Lab

Our Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides services to inpatients and outpatients with known or suspected heart and vascular disease. Our team is always patient-focused and we have some of the most experienced team members in the region. Our door-to-device time is a good example of the outstanding emergency care we provide. For patients suffering a heart attack, national guidelines recommend that appropriate treatment be administered within 60 minutes to offer the best chance of survival. Baton Rouge General’s team has established a 47-minute “door-to-device” time (the interval from the patient’s arrival to treatment), vastly improving patient outcomes.

Some of the conditions we treat include:

  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
  • Angina (chest pain)
  • Cardiac Arrhythmia
  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease
  • Arterial Vascular Disease
  • Arterial Vascular Trauma
  • Acute Myocardial Infarction
