Everett Bonner, MD

Medical Director, Breast Cancer Services

A native New Orleanian, Dr. Bonner earned his B.S. from LSU in 1992 and then went on to pursue his M.D. at the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, completing his studies in 2002. From there, he left his home state of Louisiana for a time while performing his Surgery residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. He completed his program in 2007 before returning home to join The Baton Rouge Clinic.

Dr. Bonner is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and earned a fellowship in Surgical Breast Oncology from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 2008. A Fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology and a Member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Dr. Bonner has also served on the Executive Board of the Baton Rouge Clinic and on the Board of Trustees of the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Additionally, he has served as Chairman of the Breast Committee of the Baton Rouge General and as Assistant Professor of Surgery with the Tulane School of Medicine.

A Lieutenant Colonel with the Louisiana Army National Guard, Dr. Bonner is also a member of the National Guard Association of Louisiana and the National Guard Association of the United States. He and his wife have three children and live in Baton Rouge.

David Caletri, MD

Radiation Oncology
Dr. David Caletri is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and is a graduate of Louisiana State University and LSU School of Medicine. He went on to serve his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Caletri is trained in Radiation Oncology and in Gamma Knife and Cyber Knife Radiosurgery.

J. Benton Dupont, MD

Medical Director, Surgical Oncology

Dr. J. Benton Dupont, Jr., FACS, specializes in general surgery and surgical oncology. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University
School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his surgical internship at Emory University School of Medicine, Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Dupont completed his residency training at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and completed his surgical oncology fellowship at The University
of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Dupont serves as Chief of Cancer Patient Service Group for Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified in general surgery. View full profile

Gerald Miletello, MD

Medical Director, IL-2

Baton Rouge General's regionally recognized IL-2 cancer treatment program is led by medical director Dr. Gerald Miletello. One of the most experienced IL-2 oncologists in the nation, Dr. Miletello has treated patients with IL-2 therapy since 2001. In a practice that spans more than 25 years, Dr. Miletello's outcomes with IL-2 therapy have surpassed the national averages and he has seen many success stories in his years of administering IL-2 treatment of metastatic melanoma and metastatic kidney cancer. He is a medical oncology and internal medicine specialist and has been practicing for 39 years. He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1979. William Russell, MD

Medical Director, Radiation Oncology

Dr. William Russell is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Radiation Oncology, and currently serves as the Medical Director, Radiation Oncology, at Baton Rouge General’s Pennington Cancer Center. His medical interests include three dimensional treatment planning, HDR Brachytherapy, permanent prostate brachytherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy. Dr. Russell is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Mississippi, and his radiation oncology residency at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
