About Me
Dr. Garon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences. He received his Medical
Degree and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Louisiana
State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. During his residency,
Dr. Garon was a three-time recipient of the OITE High Score Award. He
also received the James Albright Research Award, the Award for Outstanding
Resident, and the International Pediatric Orthopaedic Symposium Scholarship.
He was also selected to attend the AO Leadership Forum.
Dr. Garon completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular
surgery at The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. He has been actively involved
in research with multiple publications, including journal articles, review
articles, and book chapters. He is a member of multiple professional societies
and has a particular interest in microvascular surgery and disorders of
the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
