What is the You, Me & BRG program?
The You, Me & BRG Employee Giving Program is an opportunity for employees
to join together to make a financial contribution to our community hospital.
Where does my donation go?
100% of the funds raised directly support our co-workers, patients and
their families in the following ways:
- Hospital-wide projects that impact both the Mid City and Bluebonnet campuses.
- Internal grants for which employees can apply through a submission process.
- Employee Assistance Fund, which supports staff members who have experienced
major life challenges such as house fire, flood or a serious illness/injury.
How can I make a donation? Can I elect for payroll deduction?
You can easily give online
. Payroll deduction provides the easiest way to contribute to the You,
Me & BRG Employee Giving Program. You may also make a one-time gift
with a check or credit card. Employees can make a gift to the Foundation
at any time during the year to support this program or another endeavor.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. Baton Rouge General Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization,
therefore, your donation is fully tax deductible.
What is the goal of the You, Me & BRG program?
The ultimate goal of the You, Me & BRG program is participation from
as many employees as possible. The more participation we have, the more
projects we can fund throughout the hospital and the more employees we
can help through the Employee Assistance Fund.
Who decides which internal grant proposals receive funding?
The Internal Grant Selection Committee is an anonymous group of frontline
Baton Rouge General employees who carefully discuss each request.
Whom do I contact if I have questions about my gift or pledge?
What is the difference between You, Me & BRG and the Capital Campaign?
You, Me & BRG is a component of the Baton Rouge General Foundation’s
annual giving program, which raises funds to support the hospital, our
patients, co-workers, staff and their families. Funds raised for a capital
campaign are specifically designated for building expansions, such as
the current RISE campaign, which will support the hospital’s new
Critical Care Tower.
Is this program the same as the United Way Campaign?
No. United Way raises funds for a variety of other non-profit organizations,
whereas 100% of the funds raised through You, Me & BRG specifically
touch the lives of our co-workers and those we serve at Baton Rouge General.
