Baton Rouge General Names Meghan Parrish Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Baton Rouge, La. – Meghan Parrish has been named Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Baton Rouge General/General Health System. Since joining the organization in 2015, Parrish has used a data-driven, evidence-based, results-oriented approach to direct marketing and communications efforts, cultivating trusting relationships both within and outside of the company.

In her most recent role as Director of Marketing and Communications, Parrish led the team that conceptualized BRG’s current “We Get You. Healthier” campaign and has developed key media responses, including about developments at BRG’s Mid City campus, BRG’s CEO transition, the announcement of the health system’s new neighborhood hospital in Ascension Parish, and expanding the Pennington Cancer Center, Critical Care Tower and Regional Burn Center.

Parrish recently graduated from the Baton Rouge Area Chamber Leadership program and is in the process of achieving her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Louisiana State University in 2001, is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, and serves as a board member for The Baton Rouge International School. Prior to joining BRG, Parrish served the State of Louisiana as Public Information Director for the Office of Group Benefits and as Communications Director for the Division of Administration.
