In the Community

Baton Rouge General Hospital is unique --- not just because of its history, but because it was built by the community for the community.

Our employees reach out to the community every day --- in many ways --- to educate, inform and set a positive example for those we serve. We do this through educational programs, support groups, health screenings and special events.

Baton Rouge General employees participate in health walks for the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, American Diabetes Association, and other causes. They volunteer their time for events such as Life’s a Canvas, White Light Night, Fix Up Mid City, and the Mayor’s Healthy BR Initiative. We host events for expectant moms, cancer patients and pediatric burn survivors.

We care deeply about our community ... and it shows.
