Bio

Dr. Casey Chapman is a gastroenterologist who focuses his practice and research efforts on Inflammatory Bowel Disease throughout the state of Louisiana. He is the medical director of the Crohn’s and Colitis Center and Inflammatory Bowel Disease Integrated Practice Unit at Baton Rouge General. This allows collaboration with respective physicians who are experts in their field, enabling the delivery of optimal care to these more complex patients. He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed his residency and fellowship training through Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Earl K. Long in Baton Rouge, LA and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA. He holds membership in the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, the Louisiana Gastroenterology Society, and The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. He has a particular interest in establishing clinical workflow to enhance the patient’s outcome and experience. He has been recognized as a “Top Doctor in America” and in “40 under 40” in Baton Rouge. Dr. Chapman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
