ER wait times are defined as the time of patient arrival until the time the patient is seen by a medical professional. Door to discharge times are defined as the time of patient arrival until the time a patient is either discharged from the ER or admitted to the hospital. Medical Education at BRG

Baton Rouge General became a teaching hospital in 1991. With several campuses and the opportunity to treat patients of all ages, medical conditions and varying socioeconomic backgrounds, our health system provides an ideal setting for aspiring doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals.

We have a variety of educational opportunities and are proud to be affiliated with several medical school programs, including Tulane School of Medicine, LSU School of Medicine, and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
