School of Radiologic Technology

Baton Rouge General's School of Radiologic Technology provides students the education and training needed to start their career in diagnostic imaging as well as continuing education designed for new and experienced imaging technologists. With two campuses, Baton Rouge General serves a diverse population that provides an ideal setting for its robust medical education and training programs.

Baton Rouge General's School of Radiologic Technology is fully accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) recognizes graduates of the program to obtain licensure as radiologic technologists upon passing the licensure examination.

Baton Rouge General Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology is currently licensed by the Board of Regents of the State of Louisiana. Licenses are renewed by the State Board of Regents every two years. Licensed institutions have met minimal operational standards set forth by the state, but licensure does not constitute accreditation, guarantee the transfer of credit, nor signify that programs are certifiable by any professional agency or organization.

For three years in a row, the Baton Rouge General School of Radiologic Technology has achieved a 100% First Time Pass Rate on the ARRT National Certification Exam.
