BATON ROUGE, La. – Riley and Jayden are the most popular baby names of 2018 at Baton Rouge General.
While Olivia topped last year’s list, it dropped all the way down to the fifth spot this year. For girls, variations of Riley were trendy this year, including Rylie, Rylei, Ryleigh and Ri’Leigh. Two of BRG’s top five girl names align with the national trend – Ava and Olivia.
Jayden, this year’s top boy name, also included several different variations -- Jayden, Jaden, Jaidan and Jaeden. Three other names on the list – Noah, Jackson and Aiden – ranked in top spots across the country.
