BATON ROUGE, La. – A resident in Baton Rouge General’s Internal Medicine Residency program was one of 12 selected to have a case published in the Journal of the Louisiana State Medical Society this spring.

Dr. Bayley Hubble, who will graduate from the residency program next year, presented the case at the Louisiana Chapter of the American College of Physicians Associates meeting in New Orleans. It involved a patient with an abscess in the spleen caused by an abscess in the calf muscle.

Several other residents were selected to present at the meeting, including Dr. Rajendra Boyilla, Dr. Neelay Patel, Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Dr. Aaron Williams, and Dr. Prathyusha Yeturu, and George Nahal, a medical student. Dr. Vasudev Tati, program director, and Dr. Aaron De Witt, faculty member, also attended.

BRG’s Internal Medicine Residency program is a three-year commitment designed to provide broad-based clinical training with an emphasis on primary care medicine. The program assists residents in developing the knowledge and skills needed to become outstanding comprehensive internists capable of managing diverse patients with a broad range of diseases.
