On Friday, May 15, we celebrated our 500th survivor of COVID-19! Beverly McCray was our 500th survivor at Baton Rouge General, and we celebrated her recovery by sending her off in style, complete with Gloria Gaynor’s anthem “I Will Survive” and a disco ball for her much-anticipated stroll out the front doors of the hospital. Dubbed “Code Disco,” when the code is called over the loudspeaker, team members head straight for the main entrance lobby, to cheer and dance the discharged patient out the door.
