BRG Zachary Clinic, YMCA Partner for Drive-up Flu Shots in Americana Development
BATON ROUGE, La. – Baton Rouge General’s (BRG) family medicine clinic in Zachary is teaming up with the YMCA to bring drive-up flu shot events to the community on October 20 and 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The drive-up events will take place outside of the Americana YMCA, located at 4200 Liberty Way. CC’s Coffee House will be on hand with free coffee for those receiving flu shots.
Ages 3 and up are welcome, and flu shots are free with most insurances. Non-insurance payment options are also available. Please bring a valid photo ID and insurance card, and remember to wear a mask.
The Zachary clinic, led by Dr. Vicki Munson-Whetstone and Daniel Daire, FNP, opened in June. The 4,000-square-foot clinic includes nine exam rooms and plenty of space for social distancing in the waiting room. At all of its clinics, Baton Rouge General has implemented best practices for patient safety, including splitting the day to keep healthy and sick patients separate, the option to skip the waiting room, and touchless payment options. Dr. Munson-Whetstone also offers telehealth visits, which have boomed in popularity because of COVID-19 concerns.
