BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge General Sinus and Nasal Specialists of Louisiana has opened a new standalone facility providing specialized ear, nose and throat (ENT) and allergy care. Centrally located on Perkins Road, the facility brings several ENT services together under one roof, giving patients access to comprehensive care in a space built just for that purpose.

BRG Sinus and Nasal Specialists treats a wide variety of issues from allergies, infections, and tumors to other complex problems of the nose and sinuses. Leading the new facility are board-certified rhinologists Henry Barham, MD and Christian Hall, MD. They provide convenient, in-office sinus imaging technology and a full-service allergy clinic with the most sophisticated allergy testing and treatment strategies available today. Dr. John Wood, board-certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon, will also see patients at this location.

The surgical side of the facility will include four operating rooms, as well as pre-operative and recovery areas. The clinic specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures -- sinus surgery, septoplasty, nasal airway surgery, rhinoplasty, endoscopic skull base surgery including pituitary tumors and cerebrospinal fluid leaks, balloon sinuplasty, and the RhinAer procedure.

Dr. Barham’s research on taste receptors at the height of COVID-19 was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association and made national headlines. A graduate of LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, he completed a residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery at the University of Colorado followed by a rhinology, rhinoplasty, and skull base surgery fellowship program in Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Hall graduated from LSU Health Sciences in New Orleans and completed a residency there. After practicing as a general ENT for several years, he completed a fellowship in rhinology at the Georgia Nasal and Sinus Institute in Savannah, Ga.

Dr. Wood graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and completed a residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He has extensive surgical experience in all areas of otolaryngology.

The new standalone facility is located at 6615 Perkins Road. To make an appointment, call (225) 819-1181. For more information, click here.
