BATON ROUGE, La. – Dr. Andrew Bishop, a cardiothoracic surgeon, has recently joined Baton Rouge General (BRG) Heart and Vascular Surgery. He specializes in heart valve and heart bypass surgery, and treating coronary artery disease and thoracic cancer.
Dr. Bishop received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, then completed an integrated cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
At BRG Heart and Vascular Surgery, he joins cardiothoracic surgeon Michael Weaver, MD, FACS, and together, they work alongside BRG’s team of vascular surgeons: Mickey Graphia, MD; Joseph Griffin, MD, FACS; Victor Q. Tran, MD, FACS; and M. Vincent Weaver, MD, FACS.
