BATON ROUGE, La. – A Medicare Advantage Open House will be held at Baton Rouge General (BRG) on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Medicare open enrollment began on October 15, with the deadline of December 7 to select a 2026 plan, while Medicare Advantage open enrollment begins January 1.
Representatives from a variety of Medicare Advantage plans will be on-site to answer questions about each plan and enrollment. Research shows that 7 out of 10 Medicare beneficiaries won’t compare plans and coverage, and the numbers are even higher in those with lower incomes and in certain ethnic groups.
The following insurance plans will be on hand at the open house:
• Aetna
• Blue adVantage
• Humana
• Peoples Health
• United Healthcare
• WellCare
The open house will take place in the atrium of the Bluebonnet campus, located at 8585 Picardy Ave., Main Entrance. Attendees will be entered to win a $200 gift card.
