Dr Coleman is the most incredible doctor. I know she is moving out of state. I was well informed about it. I'll miss her dearly. She's just so kind and knowledgeable. She really listens to any and all concerns and addresses them with impeccable bedside manner. I can't say enough good things about her.

The only negative thing was an assistant or someone came in while I was doing vitals with the nurse and said I had seen the doctor before a year or six months ago and it was my first time seeing her and she was rather rude. However, the nurse was extremely nice and the doctor was extremely nice. Also, because it was my first time to ever see her, I can't give a big, I don't know her well enough to give anything other than a seven at this point.

Check-in took over 10 minutes as they were training a new employee. They asked information that should have already been on my account and I checked in ahead of time. Also, I waited nearly 30 minutes to have my labs drawn. It was like they had forgotten I was there. The appointment lasted way longer than it should have as I waited the majority of the time.

I had a 9:30 appt and saw the physician asst around 9:30 for initial questions, bp check, etc. All good, unfortunately it was another 45 minutes before the doctor and NP came in to see me. No explanations were provided during the wait time. This is my only negative about the visit. A huge positive is that my time with Dr. Coleman was not short-changed by the delay. She gave me full attention, covered my test results completely and answered all of the questions that I had brought with me. There was no rushing me...although she does have a fast pace in her delivery of services (which is okay with me)

Dr. Coleman-Lawrence and her staff are always great. I was preciously a patient in the Our Lady of the Lake system. I couldn't be happier with my decision to leave Our Lady of the Lake for Baton Rouge General. I was having issues with a hiatal hernia repair that Our Lady of the Lake could not properly diagnose. Dr. Coleman-Lawrence referred me to a Specialist at Baton Rouge General that diagnosed me quickly, and she made adjustments to my medications that gave me relief after about two years.
Dr. Coleman is an excellent Doctor. The best I ever had.
If the no show policy requires you to reschedule if over 15 min late, Dr should never be more than 15 min late for appointment! Waiting 45 min is unacceptable.

Stephanie Coleman has become so overwhelmed with the number of patients that she is trying to see, that you get pushed to the side or rushed out of the office. I have tons of things in my chart that has been suggested and orders put in but no one follows through. If there is a problem with insurance, getting a PA takes an act of congress. I was told by the nurse that the insurance wouldn't cover things, and with that being said she wouldn't send in a PA bc it was just going to get denied! She is an excellent doctor and means well but her patients are having to take a back seat to her patient volume!

When you check in that, you're there in my chart, you get a barcode to scan to void the front desk, but there's no place to scan the barcode. It would be nice to do that and you wouldn't have to wait in line to tell the front desk that you're there.

Great all around experience
I decided to check in using the app for the first time but didn't see where to scan my phone. I asked the man sitting where you check in where I should scan it he just looked at me and said we don't do that anymore. Then began asking me random questions concerning medicade I had to tell him twice I have Medicare not Medicade. I told him my appointment was with Dr. Coleman and he sent me to B-14 by this time I didn't say anything else but it was odd because I usually went to B-4 or B-6. A nice lady came looking for me and we went back to B-2. Honestly this man was clueless and dismissive which isn't the standard of care I've previously received. I would give Dr. Coleman many more stars if I could have.
The Doctor was friendly, informative and helpful. However, I waited over an hour to see her. She apologized and explained the delay due to other patients arriving with emergencies.

The assistant who took my vitals and history needs to look at the patient and not stare at the computer. She asked me to sit on the exam table but then had her back turned to me when taking my information. This made it difficult for me to hear her because she was speaking rapidly while having her back completely turned to me. Rather frustrating.
Dr. Coleman is definitely an asset to your company. She is thorough, she's professional, she's friendly, she's caring, and she listens. And that's the most important aspect of a good doctor. They listen to how you feel, what you feel, and what you have to say about your health care. And Dr. Coleman is truly a class act.

Everyone involved were real polite and cordial. Only complaint is that I received 4-6 messages pertaining to new lab results on my chart. Accessed my chart thru several of the messaging format and there was NO new test results.
My experience was below expectations. My doctor was behind an hour my scheduled appointment time. I arrived early and was seen by the medical assistant before my appointment time began. While I waited, not once did someone come to check on me or let me know my wait time. When I was greeted by the doctor there was no apology for being late. The doctor seemed rushed to visit with me before referring me to a specialist for the reason of my visit. She was very scattered brain during the visit jumping from a purchase on Amazon to assist with my injury. Although my needs were met, I was not impressed with her acquaintance or the staff's ability to check on me.
My care team was super friendly, asked all the right questions and cared about my concerns.
I cannot say enough great things about this visit! From the zero waiting times, to Dr. Coleman's empathy and listening ear to my concerns, to Nikia's blood draw that I didn't even feel, paired with the timeliness of the labs, and fulfillment of action items from Dr. Coleman and other BRG offices, my experience was top notch!
