It could not have been any better
The lady at the very front desk, was unbelievable kind and thoughtful. When the doctor had to assist in a surgery, and I asked where i could purchase a snack via vending machine while i waited. She offered me one of her snacks!! The other two ladies were very very nice as well but the lady sitting next to the far left door when the extra mile. She deserves a raise!!?? BTW. The hard plastic chairs are the worst chairs I've EVER had to sit in. Never have i ever had to sit in a hard plastic chair totally devoid of any cushion or comfort. I would be ashamed to be a practitioner in that office! And I had to sit there for almost an hour!

I called that office 3 weeks in a row because I was out of one of my meds. I even left a message with the office manager with no return call. I am switching to another Md. A friend of mine had to call her friend, a N.P. to get my refill. Not everyone cares to try and use my chart or whatever you call it. The medical field has become a very uncaring medical society and they let a lot of people slip through the cracks. Do you think all your older people will feel comfortable typing on a machine and not all of them have caregivers!!!!
The entire staff was courteous and respectful. Dr. Rhynes listened to my questions and concerns and responded in terms that I could understand. If I had one suggestion it would be that, in addition to listing the doctors room number, the tower or building that he's in should be included. BRGH is very large and the walk can be quite a distance for elderly folks such as myself if you don't know where to start and/or park.
Each time we have been to the office, we have had a very good experience. The entire team is great. They spend time with you, and answer your questions. I would recommend them to everyone that has the problems I have had.

The office visit was a really good experience. Very helpful. Dr Rhynes was very knowledgeable and informative, along with his assistant. The only issue I had was there was no parking at all, anywhere so I was late getting up to the reception desk. I arrive 15 to 20 minutes early but could not park.

The doctor made me feel rushed, like he was in a hurry, but it seemed like his office was kind of empty and it just made me feel uncomfortable. If he would have, you know, said some different things and if he would have implied maybe different things. Because he felt he was in a hurry to go to lunch and as soon as I walked in, you know, maybe at the end if he just said that, Oh, we finished in plenty of time, no, hurry up, I'm going to lunch now, you know, maybe if he said that at the end instead of at the beginning I would have appreciated that a lot more. I felt he was rushed and he was in too big of a hurry.

I found my appointment to be really enjoyable. The nurse practitioner came in first gave me a rundown of the procedure, but kept asking me if I had any questions so wouldn't actually let me ask my questions. I'd open my mouth to speak and then she would jump right in and give me more information before I had a chance to say anything. The surgeon on the other hand gave me information asked meaningful questions, and gave me time to answer those questions and that I really appreciated. Any questions that I had were answered very well, in a way that I understood that, I felt comfortable with moving forward with my procedure,

For my preop EKG I was sent across the street to the Ochsner building. The EKG was abnormal indicating I had to schedule a cardiology evaluation and clearance for surgery. My EKG at the cardiologist office was normal and when he evaluated the EKG I had the previous day. He noted that two of the leads were reversed, which resulted in the abnormal EKG. I did bring a copy of his report to them and requested my insurance company not be billed for the abnormal EKG, which was not correctly performed and they agreed.

The Dr was gracious and patient enough to come back to speak with us after he left us. We were not clear on one question. The young lady didn't know about the surgery the Dr was scheduled to possibly perform on the day we knew it was. Said, he doesn't do surgery on Tues. She looked more into it and understood the whole plan. We got there a half hr. early to fill out p/w.The wait time after filling out the p/w was still 30 minutes +. This was our first appt with him.
