Live Instructor Training

Baton Rouge General (BRG), a Training Center (TC) aligned with the American Heart Association (AHA), offers CPR certifications, skills sessions and recertifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and provides training and certification for CPR instructors.

Private Group Classes:

Choose from two certifications - Basic Life Support geared toward healthcare providers or Heartsaver Pediatric CPR First Aid AED for those with limited medical training and a great option for babysitters. Private group classes require a minimum of three participants per class with a maximum of six participants. For larger groups please email ker190@brgeneral.org.

Live Instructor Training

Live Instructor Training prepares you to conduct training in CPR and/or advanced cardiovascular care. Once you become an instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through Atlas, the AHA platform for instructors. You will also be able to post class dates and times to reach more students through the AHA public website.
