The provider is supposed to find out the statistical data as far as cost-wise if the IV replace is equivalent to the medicine I'm currently taking for the bones and let me know something. I have not yet heard back, but it's only been a couple of days. That information will be very helpful in making a decision as far as the cost of treatment. The IV, I was told, is the same drug as the one that I take orally. So when I look at that and I look at my insurance, does it make sense for me to pay the fee for the IV treatment versus the medication I take now? From my understanding, there's no difference. That information I would love to have available. That's it. Thank you.

Dr. Roy and her whole staff were completely and totally polite, nice, pleasant, made it a very, very enjoyable, if you want to use the word, seeing a doctor experience. I just wish going to all doctors I was in and out in record time, but everything was done. I didn't feel rushed or hurried or anything. They were all so pleasant and even the lady that gave me the injection, she was fun. She and Dr. Roy were just absolutely delightful and I look forward to my next visit with them.

My orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kevin McCarthy referred me to her for a problem because I'm not fusing after surgery and she has found the problem and is treating me and between her and Dr. McCarthy I'm getting better where my own general internist that I see once a year said there was no problem so I'm very proud to be their patient. Angela Roy is a wonderful healthcare provider. However, it would have been nice to have been advised that her office moved from one tower to another instead of having to search for a parking spot near Tower 1 and walk a long distance to find that she was no longer in Tower 1. Then, I returned to my vehicle, drove to the other Tower. Searched for a parking spot with no success, and ended up valet parking. I had arrived on time for my appointment, but due to the above, I was actually late getting into her office. Parking and lack of communication are problems.

Dr Roy had moved to a new location and I was not informed. When I called front desk they only had her old address and not the new. Receptionist at her old office did not have her new address and when i called her number it was closed for lunch and it also did not advise of her moving location

From the lady at the reception desk, she was very, very friendly, very nice. To the nurse, she was just absolutely adorable. She even gave me a shot and that wasn't bad at all. And Dr. Roy, I felt like just took time. I didn't feel like she was in a rush. I felt like she cared about me as a person and wanted the best for me. And I appreciated that. The front office staff where I got my dexa scan are very unfriendly, almost rude. The techs that do the testing are lovely. I am actually considering changing my market place health insurance policy to a more expensive one in order to go where I want to for my mammograms. This annual testing is stressful enough without having office personnel that are unfriendly. I also cant stand the idea of having to wait for my results when the doctor I go to reads them immediately. You know nothing is wrong before you leave. I know that I am not the only one that feels this way about your front office screening staff. Shame on Baton Rouge General for continuing to employ people like this.

I would have liked to have a copy of my images so that I could follow along with what she was saying. When my blood results came back, I would have preferred to talk to the Doctor about my results. Not the staff. I'm still not clear if I should take 10,000 or 5000, mg of D-3. Otherwise, it was overall an excellent visit.
