About Me

Dr. David Carver, ABFM, earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 1984 and his medical degree from LSU-Shreveport in 1988. Dr. Carver is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has worked as a family physician for Baton Rouge Family Medical Center since 1991. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Louisiana State Medical Society.

The entire staff work together like a well oiled machine. I feel very comfortable expressing my concerns and asking for guidance with my maladies. I always walk away feeling heard and armed with a plan for my future health.

Dr. Carver is an MDVIP. And I can tell you that when I ask for an appointment, it is quickly given to me. It's either next day or the next day. It's done very quickly. If it's an emergency, it's the same day. Dr. Carver's staff always takes accurate messages and questions, and I hear back from him with the answers. I went to another healthcare system many years ago, and for two and a half years, I was undiagnosed with what we call walking pneumonia. It was crebsilium pneumoniae, and it took two and a half years, but thank God didn't destroy me.
