About Me
Dr. Emily Adams is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. She is a Louisiana native and a graduate of Louisiana State University where she completed medical school, Ochsner LSU Health where she completed her general surgery internship and residency and lastly, Ochsner Medical Center where she completed her cardiothoracic surgery fellowship. Dr. Adams is a Fellow member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and has won numerous awards while in residency. She is an author of "In Vitro Synergistic Activity of Caspofungin Plus Polymyxin B Against Fluconazole-Resistant Candida glabrata," "Recidivism in Trauma: Determining Risk Factors for Recidivism at a Level 1 Trauma Center," and "Gender-Based Differences in Mortality Rates Following Sever Traumatic Injury with Hemorrhagic Shock."
