Great experience
Everything about this experience went extremely well. It was my first visit at this location. It was convenient and easy to get to and had adequate parking. Once I opened the front door, the staff from the front desk through the nurse through the physician that I saw all were very professional and personable.
Yes, Baton Rouge General Emergency Room made an appointment for me to be there on Monday at 2 o'clock and when I had gotten there the people up front did not know who I was. Yet an appointment was made by Baton Rouge General. The lady at Baton Rouge General was named Gemy and she's the head nurse and she said make sure you're at that appointment for a biopsy on Monday at 2 o'clock and I was there and the people up front didn't have any record of me having an appointment at all. So it was rescheduled for the next Thursday which is when I met Dr. Wood for the first time. Just thought I'd let you know. Otherwise it's an excellent operation. Thank you.

Very friendly staff,, from the clerk whom loves the color Blue to the Doctor & nurse made me feel like I've been there before,family! Like ..worry free about my visit , thanks guys

I left the office without any instructions concerning my questions except that I needed to take an audio exam. This was only one of the many questions I had, but it seemed that the doctor was unable to help in the other concerns I had. He was supposed to post something on My Chart regarding this visit but I never received it. Sorry to say I was disappointed in this first time visit as the doctor was recommended to me.
It's comforting to have knowledgeable doctors and staff.
Dr. John Wood was very professional, courteous and showed personal concern and weighed in the options very carefully. He demonstrated confidence in his findings and the possible alternates of treatment...all with a personal touch. Both me and my wife felt very comfortable during our visit with Dr. Wood.
Dr Wood is very nice and professional. I would recommend him to everyone I know with sleep apnea problems looking for help.

I met Dr. Wood for the first time and was very impressed by his caring and understanding nature. He was very attentive to everything I asked and took his time explaining what I needed to know. I was completely put at ease. His nurse that came in with him was also very warm and caring. This experience was very positive and I would recommend him very highly.

I would like to be instructed on the next steps that would be taken when setting up the required CT Scan and biopsy and how long that scheduling process may take before receiving a phone call to set up a day and time.

The nurse who came in first was absolutely wonderful, genuine, attentive, and kind. He made me feel very comfortable before the doctor even came in. But when the doctor came in, I just feel like there were no proactive suggestions of what can be done to alleviate my issue. It was just 'here's an explanation of why that's happening' and basically no offers to do anything that can help determine/rule out possible causes of my problem to at least give me some peace of mind. I don't even know what to do now going forward. I just have to live with it, I guess.
