About Me
Dr. Michael Dzeda is a board-certified radiation oncologist with a special interest in treating head and neck, breast and skin malignancies. Additionally, he has experience treating patients with benign diseases, including Dupuyten’s disease and plantar fibromas. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with degrees in microbiology and zoology. He earned a Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed an internal medicine internship at LSU Allied Hospital in New Orleans and a residency in radiation oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Dzeda was awarded an American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Fellowship in recognition of his achievements in the field. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and has served as a selected peer reviewer for the American Journal of Clinical Oncology. Additionally, he co-authored the chapter on radiation treatment of benign disease in one of the leading textbooks in radiation oncology. Dr. Dzeda has chaired multiple committees in Health Policy for ASTRO (American Society for Radiation Oncology), the leading professional society of radiation oncology.
