ER wait times are defined as the time of patient arrival until the time the patient is seen by a medical professional. Door to discharge times are defined as the time of patient arrival until the time a patient is either discharged from the ER or admitted to the hospital. Actual wait times and length of ER visit may vary based on your condition and needed care.

Burn injuries can be devastating. They can create challenges that are more than just physical such as emotional, social and financial. Baton Rouge General can be a resource for encouragement, information and put you in touch with other survivors.

Studies have shown there is a significant benefit to sharing your feelings with others who are experiencing the same challenges. There are several support organizations that help burn victims during their treatment and recovery.
