Cardiothoracic Surgeon Emily Adams, MD Joins BRG
BATON ROUGE, La. – Emily Adams, MD, a cardiothoracic surgeon, has recently joined Baton Rouge General (BRG) Heart and Vascular Surgery. She specializes in heart valve and heart bypass surgery, and treating coronary artery disease and thoracic cancer.
Dr. Adams earned her medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, then completed a general surgery residency at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
At BRG Heart and Vascular Surgery, she joins cardiothoracic surgeons Andrew Bishop, MD; and Michael Weaver, MD, FACS, and together, they work alongside BRG’s team of vascular surgeons: Mickey Graphia, MD; Joseph Griffin, MD, FACS; and M. Vincent Weaver, MD, FACS.
