Abdullah Munir, MD

Dr. Abdullah Munir is an interventional cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Zachary.

Dr. Munir attended medical school in Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York, where he was named chief resident. He completed a fellowship in general cardiology at the same location, where he was named chief fellow, and completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology.

Dr. Munir is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation. He also has level II training in cardiac computed tomography.

Dr. Munir is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the Society of Vascular Medicine. He is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.
