About Me

Cameron Bueche, M.Ed., LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults 18 and older. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2015 and his M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Louisiana State University in 2020.

Before joining The Wellness Studio, Cameron worked in residential substance use treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, and intensive outpatient treatment. His experience includes depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. At The Wellness Studio, he is especially interested in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment and life changes, self-esteem concerns, and men’s mental health.

Cameron describes his counseling style as direct, laid-back, and collaborative. He believes therapy should focus on what the client wants to work on and strives to create a space where difficult or uncomfortable topics can be discussed openly and without judgment. He understands that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, particularly for men who may not have had many opportunities to talk openly about their mental health. His goal is to make the process approachable, practical, and focused on what is meaningful to each client.

His work is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which he uses to help clients understand their challenges, identify patterns in their thoughts and behaviors, and develop practical ways to respond. Cameron also draws from motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, strengths-based approaches, and existential perspectives when appropriate.

He enjoys helping clients look at problems from different angles, challenge assumptions that may no longer be serving them, and build on the strengths they already have.

Cameron believes good therapy should leave clients with a greater sense of confidence in themselves and their ability to handle what comes next. Life changes are not always chosen or welcomed, but therapy can help people adapt, move forward, and make those changes work for them.
