I have been going to Dr Porta office since I moved to Baton Rouge La from North Carolina and I must say it is the best thing I ever did I feel so comfortable. I ask a lot of questions and he explains everything thoroughly. I feel so at peace of mind when I go get my procedure done knowing I can trust him and his opinion and wisdom about my health. I wouldn't have it no other way and I recommend all my family and friends to go to him as well. I like how he makes you feel calm and reassure you about things that you don't understand he also shows you on the monitor how it looks and gives you a peace of mind knowing you are in great hands. I feel better and no more frequent bladder infections or urgency urination.

And that day follows the diagnosis that I previously had and just dived into it deeper and made sure that we're working toward a solution. So we got a good staff there, good team. The place is well managed and I think everybody did an excellent job.

I had a 9:50 am appointment with instructions to be there at 9:35 am! I was not seen until 10:30 am! When I questioned Dr Porta about the delay in being seen, instead of apologizing, it seemed that it upset him and he went into a tirade about I was lucky that this was first time that I had to wait this long! That he were other patients in that have issues as he would have with me! I suggested that perhaps they should notify scheduled patients that he is working other patients in and there will be a delay or give opportunity to reschedule! I was surprised by his response to this issue!

Dr. Porta sat down and looked me in the eye when talking and just as important when listening. I've had other physicians looking at a computer screen while talking and I'm never sure if they're listening or not. I was never rushed and he gave me time for follow up questions and have a conversation rather than here's your diagnosis, medications, prognosis and call me if you have any problems.

M issue was handled promptly and resolved.
Lab visit at hospital needs improvement. One hour wait and I was the only person in waiting area. I had to remind them. Confusion and could not find my work order. Took two nurses half hour to figure out. Answered same questions multiple times. However nurses were polite.

Front desk check-in: after doing on line check-in, had to fill out a paper copy! When questioned why, told a hard copy is needed! Can't afford a printer?? F Check-in not to happy when I questioned why and suggested not filling on-line chjeck-in any more.
