Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Use
At Baton Rouge Recovery Health our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed specifically for adults navigating substance use disorders, offering structured support while you continue showing up for work, family, and daily life. Our program provides evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders, helping you build healthier habits, restore relationships, and move toward long-term recovery with confidence.
Who is This Program is For?
This program is built for adults (18+) who need structured support for substance use, but don’t require 24/7 inpatient care. Our IOP program may be a good fit for you if you:
- Are transitioning from detox, residential or inpatient treatment
- Want structured, frequent support while continuing to live at home
- Need ongoing support to build stability and maintain long-term sobriety
What to Expect
Group Therapy
Patients participate in group therapy multiple times each week to:
- Learn how to prevent relapse before it starts
- Practice managing stress, triggers, and emotions
- Build healthier coping strategies alongside peers who understand
Individual Counseling
If needed, individual counseling sessions are available weekly. During these sessions patients can:
- Meet one-one-one with licensed addiction counselors
- Set goals and track progress
- Address mental health concerns that may be connected to substance use
Family Support & Education
Recovery doesn't happen in isolation. Our program offers:
- Family counseling sessions
- Education on addiction, recovery and communication
- Support for rebuilding trust and setting boundaries
Peer Support & Recovery Coaching
Peers and recovery coaches who have been there themselves provide:
- Connection to 12-Step and alternative support groups
- Mentorship from individuals in sustained recovery
- Encouragement and accountability between sessions
Build a Life Beyond Recovery
Recovery is about more than stopping substance use, it’s about rebuilding your life. We help patients focus on:
- Stress management and daily routines
- Employment readiness and education support
- Nutrition and physical wellness, guided by medical professionals
