If you have tried to lose weight your entire life with no success, have lost weight and have been unable to maintain long-term results, or have a health condition caused by obesity, weight loss surgery may be an option for you.
How do I qualify for weight loss surgery?
To qualify for weight loss surgery, you must meet the following guidelines:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a BMI > 35 kg/m2 regardless of presence, absence, or severity of other medical conditions
- Must have a BMI of 30-34.9 kg/m2 with at least one obesity related medical condition including diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, and others
Weight Loss Surgery Options
When it comes to choosing which bariatric procedure is right for you, you’re not alone.
