Surgery Fast Pass
If you are scheduled for a surgery or procedure, Baton Rouge General offers
a fast track registration process that enables you to
save time and creates a
touchless experience while on campus. To receive a fast pass please follow these steps:

Step 3: Pay
If you have any copays or deductibles, a patient account liaison (PAL)
will reach out to you for payment prior to your surgery. If a voice message
is left, please return the call at (225) 819-1047.
Fast Pass Arrival
All scheduled surgery patients will arrive to our
Main Entrance which is a dedicated entrance just for surgery patients. Upon arrival,
you will receive a mask and a temperature screening. Following the screening,
you will follow the
Safe Surgery Path where an admissions concierge will meet you check you in. The Safe Surgery
Path is a touchless route from the door to your surgery. It’s that simple!
Visitation and Patient Drop Off
If your family member or friend is having surgery, one vistior over the
age of 18 is welcome on campus. Visitors will wait in the Same Day Surgery
waiting area once the patient is taken back to surgery. Seating in the
waiting area has been reconfigured to allow for social distancing. Following
surgery, you will be able to visit with the surgeon to discuss the surgery
and will be required to exit the hospital. You will be called to pick
up your loved one after recovery.
