Baton Rouge Teaching Hospital
In 1991 Baton Rouge General became a teaching hospital. For more than 25
years we have had the privilege of training aspiring medical professionals
in healthcare. As we treat patients of all ages and virtually every type
of medical condition, our hospital is an ideal setting for advanced training
and medical research. Every year we train more than 100 residents, paving
a bright future for comprehensive healthcare access in Louisiana.
Here healthcare professional students can receive training a variety of
specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, sports medicine,
nursing, and radiology. We are affiliated with several medical programs,
including the Tulane University School of Medicine, the LSU school of
medicine, and the American University of the Caribbean school of medicine.
We also offer
graduate medical education residency programs in internal medicine, family medicine, surgery and
