Get the skinny on weight loss July 19 at Baton Rouge General

Baton Rouge, La. – Whether you’re curious about healthy fats or are interested in weight loss surgery, Baton Rouge General invites you to attend a free, healthy lunch and learn event at the hospital’s Bluebonnet campus from noon to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19.

Registered Dietitian Lauren Simon will discuss nutrition basics, including tips on how to avoid inflammation, how to cook without processed foods, and which foods are beneficial for your health. Then, bariatric surgeon Dr. Jonathan Taylor will speak about weight loss surgery intervention, how to know if you’re a candidate and what to expect before, during and after the procedure.

The event will be held in Conference Room 2 of the Bluebonnet campus on Picardy Avenue. Seating is limited, so please register in advance here.
