BRG’s Senior Life Wellness Screening Offers Free Health Assessments, Tips

BATON ROUGE, La. – Baton Rouge General (BRG) is hosting a free Senior Life Wellness screening on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8-11 a.m. at BRG’s Bluebonnet campus. Recommended for adults ages 65+, the screening event will provide important health information and tips for staying active.

“As life expectancy continues to increase in the U.S., it’s important to remember that aging doesn’t have to mean settling for aches and pains,” said Dr. Eric Frusha, an internal medicine physician at BRG. “It means it’s more vital than ever to stay on top of your health so you and your physician can address any issues quickly.”

Screenings include:

  • Blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose
  • Balance assessment
  • Flexibility assessment
  • Cognitive memory assessment
  • Grip strength
  • Hearing

The event is free, but participants should reserve a spot at BRGeneral.org or call (225) 763-4695.
