BATON ROUGE, La. – Whether you’re expecting your first bundle of joy, have recently welcomed a baby or plan to expand your family, Red Stick Moms Blog and Baton Rouge General invite you to attend Bloom, an annual event celebrating motherhood and pregnancy. This year’s brunch will be held Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. on Baton Rouge General’s Bluebonnet campus.

“As OB/GYNs, we’re honored to be there for some of the most memorable moments of a woman’s life, but as parents, we also understand how emotional and overwhelming pregnancy and motherhood can feel,” says Dr. Candee Moore with Baton Rouge General Physicians. “That’s why our team focuses on doing everything we can to make this time as stress-free as possible – including fun and helpful events like this.”

Bloom will feature a full brunch catered by Baton Rouge General, Smallcakes Baton Rouge and Truly Southern Pretzel Crunch. Swag bags will feature products from more than 30 companies, including Jambalaya Girl, Kiinde, Cullen’s, Bra Genie, Smartypants Vitamins and Re-play.

The event will also feature networking, educational booths and resources to help make motherhood easier – including prenatal and postpartum support. Participants will have a chance to talk with BRG’s OB-GYNs, enjoy a craft sponsored by Bedtime Bliss, win exciting door prizes like a free crib, and tour BRG’s Birth Center.

“The overarching mission of Red Stick Moms Blog is to connect local moms both online and off,” said Ashley Angelico, co-owner of Red Stick Moms Blog. “One way we do this is to create meaningful experiences in person, like Bloom, for women to connect with other moms in their immediate community."

Tickets are available online. Guests can choose from general admission tickets ($60) or limited VIP tickets ($100). Details are also available on the Facebook event.
