Baton Rouge General Welcomes Lauren Hebert-Henderson as New Community Relations Director

BATON ROUGE, La. – Lauren Hebert-Henderson has recently joined Baton Rouge General as community relations director, with a focus on working with community leaders, businesses and churches to identify community needs and to help BRG create plans to address them.

Hebert-Henderson most recently served as program director for the Mayor’s Healthy City Initiative, working with more than 100 community partners to deliver programming and resources to the Baton Rouge community. She also has experience in the mental health field, working hands-on with patients surrounding rehabilitation and crisis intervention.

“We have been a part of this community for over 100 years and take great pride in being a locally led, locally based organization with a strong connection to the people of Baton Rouge,” said Edgardo Tenreiro, president and CEO of Baton Rouge General. “Lauren has spent years addressing the health needs of our community and working with key stakeholders to implement solutions, so she will be a tremendous asset to our team as we continue to re-invest and make a meaningful impact.”

A Baton Rouge native, Hebert-Henderson has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University. She is engaged as a community leader, serving on the boards of numerous organizations including It Takes a Village Baton Rouge, YMCA of Greater Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Area Chamber Leadership, Perfectly Suited, and Girls on the Run.
