Lyndsey Bruno, MD, Joins BRG’s Advanced Robotics Institute
BATON ROUGE, La. – Lyndsey Bruno, MD, a board-certified surgeon specializing in bariatrics and minimally invasive general surgery, has joined Baton Rouge General’s Advanced Robotics Institute. She is the fourth surgeon to join the institute since September.
Dr. Bruno graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and also completed a general surgery residency there. She then completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.
BRG offers robotic assisted surgery in a host of specialties, including oncology, gastroenterology, bariatrics, gynecology, general surgery, cardiothoracic, orthopedics and urology. Robots give surgeons total control, which means more precise hand movements and the most minimally invasive approach. For patients, it means smaller incisions and faster recovery time.
