Baton Rouge General Receives $100,000 Gift from E.J. and Marjory B. Ourso Family Foundation

BATON ROUGE, La. – Baton Rouge General (BRG) held a naming dedication Thursday, June 1, to celebrate the E.J. and Marjory B. Ourso Family Foundation’s gift to BRG’s Foundation. The $100,000 gift, the Ourso Family Foundation’s first to BRG, will help support programs and services at BRG that allow its team to continue to provide the highest quality medical treatment in the region.

The plaque honoring the Ourso Family Foundation is located in BRG’s Center for Health facility on the Bluebonnet campus. Representatives from the Ourso Family Foundation, the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF), BRG’s hospital executive team, and BRG Foundation board members were in attendance.

The Baton Rouge General Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support programs, education, services and research for Baton Rouge General. The hospital's mission is to preserve and restore health, one person at a time. Foundation donors directly impact and improve healthcare provided to the Greater Baton Rouge community by supporting the enhancement of key service areas, establishing new programs and purchasing of new equipment or technology.
