Choose a Plan that Includes Baton Rouge General
Employer-Based Health Plans
Last year’s health plan may not be the same as next year’s health plan. Before you make a decision during your employer’s open enrollment period, be sure your coverage hasn’t changed and your preferred hospitals and physicians are still included in your plan.
Important Changes for 2023
Baton Rouge General is included in most health care networks. However, as of September 9, 2022, Baton Rouge General’s three hospitals are no longer in Aetna’s network. And while our physician clinics will remain in network for the short-term, they will go out of network in April 2023. If you have a choice in your healthcare plan, we hope you will consider a plan that includes Baton Rouge General.
If your employer’s plan options don’t include Baton Rouge General, let your human resources team know you would like to see Baton Rouge General in your plan. You can also write Aetna at Aetna Inc. 151 Farmington Avenue Hartford, CT 06156 or call 1-800-US-AETNA to ask for Baton Rouge General to be included in their network.
